Did you know that each year, March 30th is considered Jeoparday? It’s the 59th anniversary of the show first hitting the airwaves, and a day all about one of the most beloved game-shows of all time. Jeopardy! has received a groundswell of interest in recent years, in large part to long-time host Alex Trebek going public with a cancer diagnosis, as well as his subsequent passing. This year, to celebrate the show’s anniversary, Jeopardy! is re-releasing the iconic host’s first ever episode from 1984, which is scheduled to go live on the Jeopardy! YouTube channel at 10:30 pm NL time.
Also, if you have dreams of appearing on the show, Jeopardy! is lifting its regular restriction on taking the “Anytime Test” which functions as way for fans to try out for the show. Normally, applicants can only take the test once per year, but regardless of when you last took it, you are free to take it again today only. In addition, Jeopardy! will donate $5.90 for the first 10,000 tests taken to the Alex Trebek fund at Stand Up 2 Cancer Jeopardy! airs at 4:30 and 8pm weekdays on NTV.
Today’s the day 🥳 Celebrate Jeopardy!’s 59th birthday by taking the Anytime Test (even if you’ve already taken it this year!): https://t.co/mSJvmN42aG
