An analysis of Google search data in 180 countries found the world’s favorite animals! When it comes to the worldwide numbers, tigers were the overall favourite, and were the top choice in 44 countries. Hippos were next, as a favourite in 28 nations, followed by dolphins with 17. Canadians searched for lions more than any other animal, while in the United States, the majestic tiger came out on top and camels came in second. What about some of the odder choices? Japan is one of only 3 countries who are all about cats, Belgium and Morocco are curious about seals, and Costa Ricans want to know more about the penguin. Maybe the most interesting choice of all, the most-searched for animal in Bolivia is the stork.
