Hugh: What Would You Give for One Stress-Free Day? 28% Would Pass on an Entire Paycheck
Written by Hugh Campbell on October 20, 2022
Are you stressed out? It seems like most people are finding life’s pressures building up, considering ten percent of respondents to a recent study said they can’t even remember the last time they had a stress-free day. Three out of four respondents to the survey said they’d do “nearly anything” for just a single day with no stress. For a variety of reasons, the pandemic has not been good for our collective mental health, as 47% say they’re more likely to experience stress since the start of 2020. So do yourself a favour, take some time for self-care, go on a vacation, or just do what you’ve gotta do to clear your head. It could be more valuable than you know. As far as how much a stress-free day is worth to people, 30% would skip on an entire week’s worth of productivity, 28% would pass on an entire paycheck, and 26% would give up sex.
Not sure how stressed you really are? The evidence might be right around you, as the study seemed to reveal that when people are stressed, we tend to neglect tidiness around the home. Those feeling the effects of stress report they avoid necessary tasks like laundry (20%), vacuuming (15%), and cleaning their homes (15%).
