Each year, different food and drink trends come and go. Some are eye-catching, some end up sticking around, and some are just plain weird. So, based on cultural insight along with data on what people are searching for, Yelp compiled a list of ten food and beverage trends they expect to be big in 2023. - The Michelagua – a non-alcoholic version of the Mexican michelada, a colourful beer and fruit cocktail with flashy garnish
- Slushies – with or without alcohol, more and more places are adding slushie drinks to the menu

- Pickle-flavoured everything – from martinis to ice cream, expect more briny goodness in your life
- Oxtail – word is spreading about dishes made with the rich-flavoured oxtail, making it the meat of the moment
- Dirty sodas – soft drinks with cream and flavoured syrup are trending upwards in a big way
- Hojicha tea – more people are searching for the lightly-roasted Japanese form of green tea
- Mocktails – with “dry January” around the corner, mocktails could be very in-demand
- The Suprême – the crispy, cream-filled croissant made by a New York bakery has gone viral
