Hugh: Research Shows Thing Moms Want the Most is More Time

If you’ve been trying to figure out the perfect Mother’s Day gift, research shows it isn’t something you can wrap; it’s time. A poll of 2,000 moms found that over half want quality time with partners and children on Mother’s Day. Free time to themselves was also very high on the priority list, so maybe taking some of her usual duties off her plate will be more appreciated than anything you can pick up at the store. Research found that moms spend A LOT of their time busy with things around the house. The average respondent spends 76 minutes a week tidying the house, 56 minutes a week cleaning the kitchen, and 39 minutes putting away clean clothes.

58% of those polled also wanted more free time to themselves on their special day. Some activities moms would love to do uninterrupted include reading a book, watching TV, doing a creative hobby, or just going to the bathroom.
