Stephen: Vet asks people to stop naming their pets “Luna”

Time to get creative! An anonymous vet took to Reddit for a strange request: stop naming your dog Luna.

“On Sunday, I had five Lunas in for an appointment – it was absurd.” He says the popular name even causes confusion as he’s not always sure which animal his staff is referring to. “How about a return to the classics – Scruffy, Spot, Barkley. I don’t care.”

Some users felt personally called out and admitted they used the popular moniker for their pets. “My boyfriend and I both named our respective pets Luna before it was this popular and now I am embarrassed to tell people my dog’s name,” one person commented.
