There was a little shake-up in the Province’s government today as Premier Andrew Furey announced changes to his Cabinet.
Effective immediately, former Education Minister Tom Osborne will now serve as Minister of Health and Community Services, while the former Health Minister, John Haggie, will serve as Education Minister.
“I would like to thank both ministers for their continued leadership and tremendous contribution to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador,” says Furey. “Ministers Haggie and Osborne have been instrumental in navigating the province through the pandemic and supported our government’s vision to strengthen our communities and improve service delivery for the benefit of all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. As a province, we are fortunate to have their leadership and I am fortunate to call them cabinet colleagues and friends. I look forward to working with them in their new roles.”
