Robert: Government looking to redevelop the old Trinity Loop location

Many Newfoundlanders have fond memories Trinity Loop, but the park has seen better days.

Since closing in 2004, the sight of the former amusement park has been in a state of disarray and decay. Now, the Provincial Government is playing with the idea of redeveloping the former family getaway destination.

A request for proposals has been issued to develop the property. The request stresses proposals will only be accepted for tourism-related establishments, like RV parks, resorts, and campgrounds.

The successful proponent will have the opportunity to purchase the site and receive a Crown grant.

Proposals will be accepted until March 3rd.
