Robert: Gas drops 6.4 cents, most fuels also fall

There is some relief for consumers at the pumps today as the price of gas fell below $2.oo per litre.
Effective today, the Public Utilities Board dropped the price of gasoline by 6.4 cents per litre, bringing the overall base price to 1.95 per litre. The cost for diesel fuel also saw a decrease, falling by 1.4 cents per litre.
Elsewhere, furnace oil decreased by 1.18 cents per litre. Stove oil also dropped by 1.18 cents on the island, but rose by 0.32 cents per litre in Labrador.
Propane saw a drop of 0.7 cents per litre.
The next regularly scheduled price adjustment will take place on Thursday, July 28,2022.
