The Second Annual Churchill Park Music Festival is promising to be bigger and better!

Scheduled to take place over two weekends this summer, the CPMF has announced the first two nights of the summer concert series.

On Saturday, August 12th, American alternative folk band The Lumineers will headline a night featuring special guests Cold War Kids and Newfoundland’s own Fortunate Ones. Known internationally for their hit song “Ho Hey”, St. John’s marks the only announced Canadian stop for the multi-time Grammy-nominated act this summer.

In addition, Friday, August 18th, will see Canadian music icon Alanis Morissette return to the province. Morissette helped define Canadian alternative music in the 90’s with her ground-breaking album, Jagged Little Pill. She would go on to become an internationally respected artist, winning multiple awards over the years, including seven Grammys. Morissette will be supported by indie darlings Metric.

Tickets for both shows go on sale Saturday, June 3 at 10:00 a.m. at ChurchillParkMusicFestival.com.

More acts for the Churchill Park Music Festival are promised to be announced in the coming weeks.
