Medical researchers in the UK found that the self-service checkouts that make our lives easier are teeming with loads of bacteria. The scientists tested other items we touch regularly like handles on doors and computer keyboards but concluded that self-service checkouts had more disease-carrying bacteria than the others. The swab-happy scientists were especially shocked when they discovered a bacteria that comes from human poop to be especially prevalent on self-service stations. The experts are urging people to keep being vigilant about washing their hands to avoid coming catching anything.
