Plenty of the choices we all make give others an insight into our personalities. What types of clothes you wear, what music you listen to, and the way you speak to others all help make you who you are, but what about the type of phone you have? According to a recent study, there are significant personality differences between iPhone and Android users. When it comes to being outgoing and cheery, the iPhone users come out on top. Self-evaluations showed that the iPhone users were more likely to consider themselves personable and sociable than Android users, and were also more likely to leave the house to meet up with others on the weekend. Meanwhile, Android users tend to be more introverted, showing a greater satisfaction with a quiet night in with a book. iPhone users were found to be more vain than their counterparts, being more than twice as likely to say they like being the center of attention. They also take more selfies (12 a day, compared to 7 for Android users) and spend more on makeup and beauty products ($83 a month, compared to $40 for Android users). In fact, spending in general is higher among iPhone users, who also outspend Android users on clothes and tech purchases. Spending more on technology is certainly believable, assuming those iPhone users continue to buy Apple products. iPhone and Android users even have different taste in movies, with the Apple faithful preferring romance movies and horror movies, while Android users enjoy action movies, thrillers, and adventure flicks.
