It’s no secret that Gros Morne National Park is one of Newfoundland and Labrador’s gems, and many consider it a must-see. As far as camping sites, not only is it one of the most popular in the province, but also in the country. Now, Scouts Canada has released data from an internal survey about the “most epic” camping destinations across the nation, and Gros Morne came in at number four! Here are the top five:
- Jasper National Park, Alberta
- Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, British Columbia
- Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario
- Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland and Labrador
- Fundy National Park, New Brunswick
As far as what makes a particular campsite a “dream spot,” respondents said the views (84.8%), proximity to water (63.9%), activity options available (57%), wildlife (39.3%), quiet (39.3%), and the washrooms (26.4%).
