Hugh: Elon Musk Scraps Iconic Bird Logo in Favour of an ‘X’ as Twitter Rebrands

Elon Musk has made another change to Twitter, as the social media platform undergoes a rebranding process. The company’s official logo has been officially replaced by a stylized ‘X’ and, in a post on Sunday, Musk says he will be “gradually” removing “all the birds.” One interesting tidbit is that as of Monday, July 24th, x.com redirects users to twitter.com, which also remains live. The logo change is reflected on the social media platform’s website, but at least for the time being, the bird icon is still on the smartphone app. On Sunday, Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino took to the platform to outline the company’s plan to become a digital space for “unlimited interactivity – centered in audio, video, messaging, payments/banking – creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities.”
