Robert: Provincial government bans smoking, vaping on government property

In what is being described as a commitment to promote healthy living in the province, the Provincial government has announced smoking and vaping will be prohibited on all government property, including buildings, grounds, vehicles and parking lots effective Wednesday, September 27th.

This new policy applies to all employees, visitors and contractors.

The province is encouraging residents who want to quit smoking to contact the Newfoundland and Labrador Smokers’ Helpline for information on programs and resources available.
