Robert: Gas falls 13 cents, price falls below $2 per litre

Motorists woke up to s pleasant surprise today as the price of gasoline fell below $2 per litre.

“Due to recent commodity market developments, the Public Utilities Board will intervene and adjust
maximum prices outside its regular pricing schedule for all regulated petroleum products,” the PUB said in a media release. 

Today’s adjustment included a 13.7 cents per litre drop in the price of gasoline.

Diesel also saw a sizeable decrease, falling by 16.6 cents per litre.

Elsewhere, both furnace and stove oil fell by 14.39 cents per litre.

There was no change to the price of propane.

The Board’s next regularly scheduled price adjustment is scheduled for Thursday, July 14.
