NL make-up artist wins Emmy for Shōgun

NL native and make-up artist Krista Hann was announced as one of the winners at the Creative Arts Emmys last night, for her work on the FX series Shōgun. Hann, along with other members of the period drama’s make-up team, were awarded the Emmy for Outstanding Period or Fantasy/Sci-fi Makeup for the episode The Abyss of Life. Hann previously won a Canadian Screen Award for The Porter. Shōgun is the most nominated show at the Emmys with 26 nominations and stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai, and Cosmo Jarvis, and took home a record 14 awards for its technical achievements last night.
