Hugh: St. John’s is the Ninth-Worst Bed Bug City in Canada

Have you ever seen a bed bug infestation? Fortunately I haven’t, but even the thought of it is unsettling. Of course, some cities tend to have worse bed bug problems than others, and Orkin Canada has revealed exactly where those places are. The pest control company took data from across the country in 2022 and have compiled a list of the worst bed bug cities in Canada based on both residential and commercial properties. When you take a look at the top ten listed below, you’ll notice that our provincial capital made the list at number nine. While being among the top bed bug cities in Canada is definitely not a great sign, it’s worth pointing out that St. John’s was number 4 on last year’s ranking, so it seems like things are moving in the right direction. Another thing you’ll notice by looking at the buggiest cities is that the list is dominated by EIGHT metropolitan areas in Ontario including Toronto, which tops the list for the fourth year in a row.
