Long-time OZFM and NTV personality Deborah Birmingham has passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 61. Remembered most as one of the hosts of the Dawn Patrol, the province’s most well-known morning radio program, Deb was loved by generations of listeners from coast to coast in Newfoundland. Her infectious laugh, razor-sharp wit, and sunny disposition helped thousands of Newfoundlanders wake up to start their day. She was also one of the first women in a position such as hers and was a trailblazer in that regard.
Tributes from former co-workers and listeners of all ages on social media. Everyone at OZFM and NTV wish to express sincerest condolences at Deb’s passing, especially to her children, Stefanie and Christian, and brothers, Ken and Ian.
