You have probably heard someone say that they are a mosquito magnet. But do the flying bloodsuckers really prefer some people over others?
Experts say carbon dioxide is a giveaway that there’s a yummy treat in the area. Since we give off carbon dioxide when we breathe, this is how mosquitoes detect us. Mosquitoes also smell us…and some of us do smell more delicious to them.
Wearing certain colors, like black or red, may attract mosquitoes, while white or green may help repel them.
