2023 is just around the corner and that means a lot of people are going to be making resolutions to better themselves over the next year. Of course, personal change can start any time you want it, but a new calendar feels like a fresh start that people around the world use to start (or stop) a habit. Recently, a Time2Play poll asked Canadians about their new year’s resolutions for 2023 and we’ve got a list of what the most popular choices are. It’s not a surprise to see health and fitness goals at the top of the list because trying to be healthier is always a highly popular answer. Now, if you’ve made well-intentioned resolutions in the past only to abandon the plan, you’re certainly not alone. In fact, 68.6% of us don’t succeed in keeping their resolutions, and the average Canadian only sticks to their resolution for 4.7 months. Newfoundland and Labrador is actually the province that sticks by their resolutions the longest, at an average of six months. The least committed province happens to be our neighbours in Atlantic Canada, Nova Scotia, at 3.5 months. Check out the most popular answers Canadians gave when asked about their 2023 new year’s resolutions below and let us know about yourself.
