Hugh: It Turns Out A LOT of People Multi-Task in the Shower

Multi-tasking is something most of us do pretty regularly without even realizing it. Whether it’s chipping away at a few projects at work or playing a game on your phone while watching TV, it’s a part of every day life. What about in the shower? Personally, I like listening to an audio book while I’m in the bathroom getting ready for the day, so by taking in information I guess that counts as multi-tasking even though it’s not actively participating in something. A recent poll asked people about the other things people do in the shower and unsurprisingly, singing and daydreaming topped the list. After that, 30% of respondents admit to peeing or getting frisky with a partner while showering. Do you ever try to save time by brushing your teeth in the shower? So have 29% of the population. 19% admit to drinking alcohol in the shower, 18% pop pimples, at 16% have done yoga with the water pouring down on them.

If you’re in the shower and your phone rings, are you answering it? I guess maybe if you’re expecting an important call, but generally I’d call the person back. Apparently 15% of the public say they have taken a call in the shower, but what’s really eye-catching is the fact that 13% say they’ve video chatted with someone while showering. That’s a little much.
