Growing up, my family played a lot of board games, so it makes sense that as an adult, I’m still a big fan of them. Whether it’s Risk, Trivial Pursuit, or a brand new game I’m learning for the first time, a board game is a great way to spend time with people if you ask me. A recent survey took a look at the most popular board games across Canada and found that the preferences change from province to province. Despite being over 100-years old, Monopoly still reigns as the top game across the country, and it happens to be the board game of choice here in Newfoundland and Labrador as well. The survey also considered which provinces played board games the most and found that our province is right up there at number two, behind only Alberta and just above Ontario. Check out each Canadian province’s favourite board game below and let us know what yours is in the comments.

Alberta: Monopoly
Saskatchewan: UNO
Manitoba: Scrabble
Ontario: Monopoly
