Hugh: 24% of Young Adults Admit They Always Look Up a Restaurant’s Menu Online Before Going

Do you have menu anxiety? If you find yourself being overwhelmed by choices, looking up a restaurant’s menu online in advance, or letting others order before you decide, you just might.

A survey of 2,000 Americans found that 30% have menu anxiety when ordering. 41% of millennials and Gen Z suffer from this anxiety, compared to 15% of Gen X and baby boomers.

Younger generations were also more likely to wait for others to order to see what they were getting.

Important factors when deciding what to eat included taste, prep time, meal messiness, and the foods’ environmental impact. 77% of younger generations would like restaurants to be clear about how different foods impact the environment.
