On Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024, CSCNL will be co-hosting the Community Well-Being Fair at the St. John’s Convention Centre from 12pm to 5pm. The Community Well-Being Fair is an opportunity to connect people with organizations dedicated to improving well-being through the social determinants of health. The Fair is free to attend, open to the general public and is comprised of two main activities:

  • Community Well-Being Booths (12pm-5pm) – from 12 PM to 5 PM at the St. John’s Convention Centre, drop in anytime to explore no-cost or low-cost programs and services that exist in your community promoting well-being for all ages! Come have a chat with over 50 booths – you’re guaranteed to learn about a new program or service for you or someone in your community circle. This event is completely FREE, family friendly and open to the general public. Stick around and sing your heart out at 2:45pm for a special instant choir by Julia Halfyard and Peter Halley.
  • A Time for Health: Celebrating Culture, Community & Connection (1:00pm-2:30pm) – emceed by NL Health Services, this concurrent event in the main theatre will include music from Fergus O’Bryne & Son, insightful talks from healthcare professionals and samples of local foods. The Community Well-Being Fair is a partnership between the Community Sector Council NL and Well-Being NL. A Time for Health is presented in partnership with the Provincial Cardiovascular and Stroke Program and the Healthcare Foundation.
