Cataracts Bridge Birthday party

The spectacular Cataracts Bridge between Colinet and Placentia is 100 years this year. It is the oldest operating bridge in the province and, without a doubt, the most beautiful and most photographed. The Colinet Loggers Heritage Society is hosting an event this Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 4.00 pm to mark the occasion. A ribbon cutting will be held on the bridge at 1:00 pm followed by a motorcade to the heritage centre in Colinet. A commemorative cake will be served and you will have the opportunity to learn more about the historic and beautiful structure. We have live music from the talented Jamie Spurvey. Everyone is welcome. Admission is free and it’s only an hour’s drive from town.
