2nd Annual Pride Prom in Grand Falls-Windsor

Pride Grand Falls-Windsor and Pflag Grand Falls-Windsor have teamed up to present their second annual Pride Prom! The event is taking place June 8th from 8:00-10:30 PM at the Youth 2000 Centre – 34 Bond Street in Grand Falls-Windsor.

A Pride Prom is an inclusive event celebrating 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and allies with a safe, supportive environment for self-expression and socializing. Attendees can expect music, dancing, refreshments, and various entertainment activities, all in a welcoming and affirming atmosphere. The event is open to 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and their allies, from grades 7 to 12.

Chaperones will be in attendance to ensure a safe environment for everyone and provide peace of mind for attendees and their families.

A Pride Prom may be the only Prom a individual of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community feels comfortable attending, as they can wear what they want and bring a date of their choice without judgment. The safe spaces are crucial to boost confidence, fosters a sense of belonging, and provides an opportunity to celebrate their identity openly to make amazing memories.
