The digital artwork should be high-resolution artwork file(s) or scalable vector-based artwork file(s).

The artwork:

  • Will enhance the vibrant, colourful streetscape of Water Street.
  • Will contribute to the fun, inviting atmosphere of the Downtown Pedestrian Mall for residents and visitors.
  • Will celebrate the unique characteristics of the City of St. John’s.

Additional project specifications and submission requirements can be found in the Call for Artwork. Complete submissions should be emailed to arts@stjohns.ca, with “Pole Box Artwork” in the subject line. Submissions must be received before 4:00 p.m. NDT, Friday, May 10, 2024.

The event is taking place June 8th from 8:00-10:30 PM at the Youth 2000 Centre – 34 Bond Street in Grand Falls-Windsor.

A Pride Prom is an inclusive event celebrating 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and allies with a safe, supportive environment for self-expression and socializing. Attendees can expect music, dancing, refreshments, and various entertainment activities, all in a welcoming and affirming atmosphere. The event is open to 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and their allies, from grades 7 to 12.

Chaperones will be in attendance to ensure a safe environment for everyone and provide peace of mind for attendees and their families.

A Pride Prom may be the only Prom a individual of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community feels comfortable attending, as they can wear what they want and bring a date of their choice without judgment. The safe spaces are crucial to boost confidence, fosters a sense of belonging, and provides an opportunity to celebrate their identity openly to make amazing memories.

Experienced gardeners will be on hand to answer questions and help identify plants suitable for your garden.

This rain or shine outdoor event is held in the area directly opposite the main gates of Memorial University Botanical Garden, Mount Scio Road. Look for volunteer greeters wearing orange safety vests, as well as directional and parking signs.

This will be a cashless sale. Visa, MasterCard, and debit cards with tap enabled will be the only forms of payment accepted.

Quantities are limited for some plant varieties so come early for best selection!

Bring your own bags and/or trays to take home your treasures, if you can. We will have limited quantities of trays on hand.
