Subway could be saying goodbye to the $5 foot long
Sad news for Subway fans: The fast food chain’s $5-footlong deal may be on its way out. Subway CEO Trevor Haynes recently told USA Today that individual franchises will have the power to continue the deal or not in the near future. “If you look at California, there’s a very different cost of business than in Arkansas,” Haynes explained. He went on to note that Subway also has plans to experiment with “some more exotic tastes,” including drinks like “Watermelon Agua Fresca” and panini sandwiches. They might even follow in the steps of I-HOP (I-HOB?), and get into the burger game.
