Stephen: Public exams cancelled, students will still graduate
It was previously announced that K-9 students will move on to their next grade regardless of the outcome of the rest of the school year. Announced today by Premier Dwight Ball, students that would have graduated at the end of this school year will still graduate and have their post-secondary applications unaffected by the premature end to this school year. In addition, public exams have been cancelled for all students this year. Final exams for high school and intermediate students are also cancelled.
Cancellation of exams does not mean the school year is over. Plans are in the works to continue education.

Minister Warr also revealed that if school resumes before the end of the school year, time spent will be used for instruction rather than examination. A program is being put in place by the provincial government to aid in applying for post-secondary institutions and scholarships.
