A retired couple in India is laying down the law for their son and daughter-in-law. Sanjeev Ranjan and Sadhana Prasad are sick of waiting for their son and his wife, who married 6 years ago, to have a baby and are demanding a grand child in the next year or financial restitution because they spent their life’s savings on putting their son through school to become a pilot. Sanjeev told NPR “the main issue is that at this age we need a grandchild, but these people (my son and daughter-in-law) have an attitude that they don’t think about us … we got him married in the hope we would have the pleasure of becoming grandparents. It has been six years since their marriage.” A court has agreed to see their case, with a hearing scheduled for today.
