Stephen: Man steals $17,000 worth of goods on only day working at gas station
Late last month, an unidentified employee showed up for his first day of work at the Go and Gas gas station in Hamden, Connecticut, and proceeded to steal $17,000 worth of goods from its convenience store. NBC Connecticut reports that the employee–who, suffice it to say, never showed up for another shift–stole lottery tickets, cash and 89 boxes of cigarettes, among other items. He also stole his employment folder, which contained all of his personal information. This is unfortunate for the store’s owner, who doesn’t remember the ex-employee’s name. As a result, he remained at large as of Tuesday.
