Stephen: Dave Grohl working on first book
Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl has always been a storyteller, so when he was cooped up like the rest of us during quarantine, he hopped on Instagram and began sharing some of his own stories and anecdotes with his @davetruestories account. Now, Dey Street Books has taken those tales to help Grohl publish his very first book, The Storyteller: Tales Of Life And Music, due October 5th. The book will share stories only a guy like Dave Grohl could have, like the time he went swing dancing with AC/DC, the moment one of his icons, David Bowie, told him to “f*** off” and when he played SNL with the late Tom Petty.
Grohl said in a statement: “From my early days growing up in the suburbs of Washington, DC, to hitting the road at the age of 18, and all the music that followed, I can now share these adventures with the world, as seen and heard from behind the microphone. Turn it up!” No time to read these days? Grohl’s tales of life and music will also be made available as an audiobook.
