Stephen: California man finds ring months after losing it on beach
Several months ago, Paul Svoboda was playing with his 6-year-old daughter on a beach in Dana Point, California, when he realized his diamond-studded wedding ring was missing from his finger. After unsuccessfully scouring the beach, Svoboda got in touch with a metal-detecting group called the Ring Finders, who also failed to find the ring. Enter freelance metal detector Rick Rolsheim, who finally found Svoboda’s ring last week while scanning for gold on the beach in question. He proceeded to ask around about the ring, and a friend who’s a member of the Ring Finders connected him with Svoboda, who tells The Orange County Register that he won’t be wearing his ring to the beach anymore.
