Stephen: Cali teen gives out over 150 sanitation kits to homeless

A California teenager is helping the less fortunate get through the coronavirus outbreak by donating more than 150 sanitation kits to the homeless. CNN reports 15-year-old Shaivi Shah has enlisted her fellow honor society members at Tesoro High School in Rancho Santa Margarita to put together kits including hand sanitizer, antibacterial soap, lotion, and reusable masks during this time of need. “They don’t have necessities right now that are crucial to remain clean and stay germ-free,” Shaivi told CNN. She and her friends have donated kits to three Los Angeles-area homeless shelters so far. Shaivi has also started a GoFundMe account to raise money to expand the program. “It’s important for people to step in and just do whatever they can, even if it helps just one person,” she said.
