Stephen: Being “hangry” leads to an average of 4 arguments per week

If you find yourself getting snippy a lot, maybe you just need to snack more. A new survey finds that feeling “hangry”–a combination of hungry and angry–is the cause of four arguments a week for the average American. The study of 2,000 U.S. adults from snack company RXBar also finds that these are the top five reasons why people get “hangry”:

  1. I wait too long to eat: 49 percent
  2. I don’t eat enough: 45 percent
  3. I don’t enjoy what I eat: 41 percent
  4. I’m watching what I eat: 29 percent
  5. I sacrificed something delicious for something healthy: 23 percent
