The coronavirus pandemic has changed a lot of things–including, how lottery winners get paid. According to UPI, a lottery winner in Quebec received the first in-person check since the beginning of pandemic thanks to a helpful human-sized robot. Loto-Quebec said it utilized a robot created by a Montreal student club, in partnership with Centech. The robot was safely able to deliver the $6 million check to winner Guylaine Desjardins without any concern over spreading COVID-19. Lottery officials say no human hands touched the check within 72 hours of the ceremony. Desjardins says that she plans to buy a three-wheeled motorcycle with her check, to take several trips after the travel bans have lifted and to celebrate with her sons. What would you do if you won the big lottery jackpot?
