Robert: Woman rents hotel rooms so the homeless can get out of the cold
Amid freezing temperatures and some harsh winter weather, one woman in Chicago has gone out of her way to help out those less fortunate than her.
Candice Payne, a real estate broker, paid for 20 hotel rooms out of her own pocket in order to house the homeless and shelter them from the cold. Together with friends, Payne transported as many individuals she could to a warm bed and a roof over their head.

It don’t take much to be a blessing to someone else! It’s freezing cold and deadly temperatures outside! For the people who has no where to go, no money, no food, family disowned them… need help it’s not much but to get them out the cold, feed them, and provide them with warm clean clothes is a start.

Once word of her generosity began to spread, others began to donate cash, food and transportation to the cause.
Payne says she had never met most of the people that jumped on board to help her, but now describes them as “lifelong friends.”
