Is your dog lonely? Well, like everything else in life, there’s an app for that.

Toronto native, Colin Jarvis-Gaum has created an new app called Pawmates: The Dog Meetup App, which he describes as “Tinder for dogs.”

Jarvis-Gaum, came up with the idea for the app after he was looking for a play date for his parents’ dog since the dogs at the dog parks were a little too much for him.

Curious to how it works? It’s simple.

People set up a profile with a photo of their dog and, using geolocation, users can swipe through potential matches, just like the popular dating app. If two dog owners show a mutual interest, they are matched and can set up a time to meet.

In addition, the app features a map that shows local pet stores, groomers and dog walkers.
