Robert: “Tiger King” Joe Exotic sues the government from prison
Joe Exotic, the subject of the Netflix documentary Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, is suing the U.S. government from his prison cell.
Exotic is claiming the U.S. Department of Interior and the U.S. Federal Wildlife Service for placing what he calls the “generic tiger” on the endangered species list and putting him out of business. The suit details discrimination against him because “he is the only person charged with this statute because [he] is an openly gay male with the largest collection of generic tigers and crossbreeds.”
Exotic is asking for $78,840,000 for the loss of his personal property and 18 years’ worth of his work with tigers.
Joe Exotic is currently serving a 22 year prison sentence after being found guilty in a murder-for-hire plot in 2019.
