More than 60 people who visited a British pub found themselves calling the establishment home after a snowstorm forced them to bunker down.

Andrew Hields, co-owner of the Tan Hill Inn in Swaledale, says two of the three roads leading to the business were blocked by snowdrifts Friday night and the third was blocked by a downed power line.

Hields assures the pub was well stocked with fuel, food and drinks before the storm and the stranded were well taken care of. It’s said pubgoers passed the time with long rounds of Christmas karaoke.

Guests were able to start heading home this past Monday once crews had cleared the roads for travel.
