Robert: RNC re-arrest woman, charged with second failure to self-isolate
This week the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary arrested a 53-year old woman for failing to self isolate as required by the province’s Public Health Protection and Promotion Act.
Early this morning, the RNC once again arrested the woman for failing to self-isolate.
According to NTV’s Don Bradsahaw, at 6:00 am the RNC Patrol Service received a complaint that a woman who is known to be under a self-isolation order was failing to do so. Officers then located the woman walking up a residential street and arrested her without incident.
The woman has been charged for failing to abide by the Special Measures Order under he Public Health Protection Act and two counts of breaching a release order. She remains in custody.
It is unknown whether or not the accused had previously tested positive for COVID-19 virus.
