The Newfoundland Growlers were forced to cut their season short this past year due to COVID-19. Now it looks like the oncoming season for the team will also be affected.

“You want to do the right things. Make the right decisions,” says¬†Senior Vice President & Alternate Governor Trevor Murphy. “We’ve had to adjust, and I think going forward we’ll have to make some more adjustments.”

While it has not been confirmed, Murphy anticipates that the 2020-2021 ECHL season will be delayed to December or January.

“We’re excited to get back on the ice, but we have to do the right things and make the right decisions based on guidelines.”
