Robert: Newfoundland records first new case of COVID-19 in 43 days

After 42 days since the last new case was discovered, 3 weeks since the last active case was recorded, and 1 week into the Atlantic Bubble, Newfoundland and Labrador has a new case of COVID-19.
The new case, the first new case since late May, is in the Eastern Health region and is said to be travel related and from the United States. The individual is a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador, was not symptomatic nor considered infectious during travel, and self-isolated upon returning home as per public health requirements.
Contact tracing is underway.
The province’s caseload is now at 262.
In total, 258 people have recovered from the virus.
