Robert: Kanye West says he’s running for President
Kanye West celebrated the 4th of July by announcing his political aspirations.
The rapper took to Twitter this past weekend to proclaim, “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States.”

In response, political experts were quick to point out that Yeezy has his back aganst the wall if he’s hoping to have his name on the ballot by November. The deadline has already passed for West to be recognized as an independent candidate in Texas, New York, Illinois, and six other states.
This is actually the second time Kanye has announced he’s running for Pres of the U S of A. Upon accepting the Video Vanguard Award at the 2015 MTV VMAs, West capped off his 11 minute acceptance speech by saying, “and yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president.”
