Robert: It snowed in Hawaii over the weekend

As they say in Game of Thrones, “winter is coming.” Although in this case, I guess winter is here.

A strong storm that hit the Hawaiian islands over the weekend brought winds so strong that power lines were damaged, trees were uprooted and some areas even saw snow.

While snow is not completely unheard in mountainous parts of the island chain, officials say the light dusting at 6,200 feet (1,900 meters) at a state park on Maui may be the lowest-elevation snowfall ever recorded in the state.
