Instagram users are rejoicing as the head of the company says the app will return to more chronological feed.

Adam Mosseri said on Wednesday the company is working on a version of its feed that would show users’ posts in chronological order, rather than a feed based on an algorithm that sorts posts based on user preferences.

The popular photo sharing app introduced the algorithmic feed concept in 2016, where AI creates what Instagram considers a more personalized feed, based on a users’ activity. Despite the company claiming this method would improve user experience, it has been long criticized by the public.

No date has been given for the return of chronological feed.
