COVID -19 has wreaked havoc on Hollywood in 2020. Most, if not all, major blockbuster releases anticipated to hit theatres this year have either been pushed to the latter part of 2020 or into 2021. Disney, being no exception to the current pandemic, has announced some of their biggest releases expected this year, probably won’t be on the big screen until 2021.

The live-action remake of Mulan, whose release date was already pushed from April to August of this year, has now been taken off release calendars.

Meanwhile, a planned 10th installment of the Star Wars saga that was supposed to hit theatres in 2022, is now set to be released in 2023.

Sequels to James Cameron’s mega-blockbuster Avatar are now slated to premiere every other December starting in 2022.

Not every Disney property will see huge delays however. As of right now, Marvel’s Black Widow is still set for November 6, 2020 and Pixar’s latest animated feature Soul will be released on November 20, 2020.
