Robert: Canada Goose increases production of medical gear
Like many businesses across the country, Canada Goose is doing what they can to help fight COVID-19.
The luxury clothing company recently switched production tactics in order to help feed the need for PPE and other medical gear. Originally planning on devoting two facilities to the cause, the company now says it will reopen all eight of its manufacturing plants.
With approximately 150 employees are currently producing equipment in Toronto and Winnipeg, this new move will see as many as 900 employees working.
Canada Goose estimates they will be able to produce at least 60 000 medical gowns per week, with plans to deliver up to 1.5 million.
