Robert: “Brooklyn 99” ending after next season

NBC has announced police comedy Brooklyn 99 will come to an end after its upcoming eighth season. The network would go on to add the final season will consist of 10 episodes and will premiere later this year.

Addressing the show’s final season, co-creator and showrunner Dan Goor said, “I’m so thankful to NBC and Universal Television for allowing us to give these characters and our fans the ending they deserve. I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with this amazing cast and crew for eight seasons.”

He added, “I know some people will be disappointed it’s ending so soon, but honestly, I’m grateful it lasted this long. Title of my sex tape.”
